He attended Tulane University Medical School where he received the Hewlett-Packard academic achievement award and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital and his vitreoretinal fellowship at the Retina Institute of Maryland. In 1993, he joined Delaware Valley Retina Associates.
