Kandon K. Kamae, M.D.

Dr. Kamae joined the staff of Spokane Eye Clinic in 2012. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii in 1997 and his medical degree in 2006 from University of Hawaii's John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM).

After medical school, he spent a year as an Ophthalmic Pathology fellow conducting IOL research at the John Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He then completed his residency at the same facility in 2011. Dr. Kamae completed his Glaucoma fellowship at the John Moran Eye Center in June 2012.

He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and he is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

His professional interests include cataract surgery, medical and surgical glaucoma, and anterior segment surgery. He is also interested in international volunteer work.

Dr. Kamae enjoys singing, playing the guitar, and playing the ukulele. He and his family plan to enjoy the many outdoor activities of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Kamae speaks fluent Japanese.
