Area’s Largest Ophthalmology Administrative Services Provider Offers a Different Lens, a New Approach
UNION, NJ (July 11, 2019) – Today, company officials announced the launch of PRISM Vision Group, the largest ophthalmology administrative services care provider organization in the region.
The new entity is led by Steven Madreperla, MD, Ph.D., a practicing ophthalmologist and one of the founding partners of NJ Retina, a specialty retina practice with roots that reach back over 30 years. Building on the success and mission of NJ Retina, Dr. Madreperla and the NJRetina physicians, along with several other regional ophthalmologists, launched PRISM Vision Group to support ophthalmology practices as they provide patients with world-class, comprehensive eye care. PRISM Vision Group also aims to build an unrivaled practice environment for their network of affiliated physician groups and employees.
PRISM Vision Group provides services to enhance back-office affiliated practices, including IT integration services, practice administration, centralized and efficient billing services, payer contract negotiations, revenue cycle optimization, benefits/HR guidance, payroll processing services, MACRA/MIPS assistance and tracking, and compliance.
“We are very excited about the new brand name which clearly reflects our legacy as well as vision of becoming America’s premiere, independent eye care organization,” said Dr. Madreperla. “Through the PRISM Vision Group affiliation, practices can outsource their administrative business tasks and focus on spending more time with their patients.”
PRISM Vision Group serves 26 ophthalmology locations throughout N.J. and Pa., with 51 providers and 350 employees. Affiliated practices include NJRetina, Matossian Eye Associates (Cynthia Matossian, MD, FACS), Hudson Eye Physicians & Surgeons, Ridgewood Eye Associates (Anne Marie Alino, MD), Bloomfield Eye Associates (Herbert Glatt, MD) and Hackensack Eye Center (Paul Liva, MD).
“Our primary objective is to attract, affiliate and onboard professional independent eye care practices that align medically, culturally and economically with our goal of building and strengthening the practice environment.”
