Berkeley Heights, NJ (October 28, 2021) – PRISM Vision Group® (PVG), the largest vertically-integrated eye care services organization in the Mid-Atlantic region, welcomes Priya Desai, MD, MBA as its new Chief Medical Officer.
A board-certified ophthalmologist, cataract surgeon and glaucoma specialist, Dr. Desai will be responsible for providing executive level direction and driving PVG’s vision to build an unrivaled practice environment for its doctors and employees who provide world-class comprehensive eye care.
Prior to her new appointment, Dr. Desai had been with Matossian Eye Associates, a PVG affiliate, for 13 years, where in addition to caring for patients’ regular eye health and vision needs, she specialized in routine as well as complex cataract surgery and the medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma.

In addition to her years of practice at Matossian Eye Associates, she brings to PVG more than two decades of research and publication expertise, numerous awards—including being named a New Jersey Top Doc since 2017—and business management and consultant experience.
Dr. Desai received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA School of Medicine and completed a residency in ophthalmology at Charles Drew University of Medicine & Science, where she served as Chief Resident followed by a fellowship in glaucoma at UCLA-Jules Stein Eye Institute. She also holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and a BS in chemical engineering from Cornell.
