PRISM Vision Group® Continues Growth and Partners with Three New Practices

Berkeley Heights, NJ (October 18, 2021) – PRISM Vision Group®, the largest vertically-integrated eye care services organization in the Mid-Atlantic region, announces that it has recently affiliated with three new practices, helping to further its mission of providing world-class comprehensive eye care while creating an unrivaled practice environment for its network of affiliated physician groups and employees.

The three practices include Bethlehem Eye Associates in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; Schefkind Eye Care with two locations in Alexandria, Virginia; and Carabin Eye Care in New Milford, New Jersey.

“All three practices are well known in their communities for providing high quality care and we are proud to welcome them to the PRISM family,” said Steven Madreperla, MD, PhD. “Our organization is undergoing substantial growth throughout the Mid-Atlantic region”.

Bethlehem Eye Associates, which joined PRISM in July, provides routine eye care and specializes in laser vision correction, oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric eye care, state-of-the-art cataract surgery, glaucoma, and advanced contact lens fitting. It is also a principal outpatient training location for St. Luke’s University Health Network teaching the next generation of physicians in the evolution of ophthalmology care. The team includes Eugene M. Saravitz, MD; Robert A. Kitei, MD; Robert C. Weber, MD; Anthony F. Grosso, DO; Michael A. Alterman, DO; Adam R. Rosati, OD; and Scott Goldstein, MD.

Carabin Eye Care joined PRISM in August and specializes in laser and microsurgical techniques for glaucoma and cataracts, as well as routine eyecare and vision correction for both adults and children. The Carabin Eye Care team is led by Doctor Gari D. Carabin, a board-certified ophthalmologist and Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Schefkind Eye Care, which joined PRISM in September, provides routine eye care and specializes in laser vision correction, state-of-the-art cataract surgery, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. The team is led by Mark Schefkind, MD, and Edward Chay, MD, both board-certified ophthalmologists. Dr. Schefkind has been recognized as a “top doctor” in the Washington, DC, and Virginia markets by the Washingtonian, Vitals and Northern Virginia Magazine.

“We look forward to working side by side with our new practices to meet our common goals of providing outstanding, high quality eyecare as the country’s premier independent eyecare organization,” said Dr. Madreperla.
