Dr. Badami received her medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia Medical School and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the Boston Medical Center where she was Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Glaucoma at University of Pennsylvania-Scheie Eye Institute.
At Bethlehem Eye Associates, Dr. Badami provides eye exams eye health & vision including for cataracts, cataract surgery, glaucoma, diagnosis of retina problems including floaters, retinal detachment, macular degeneration & diabetic eye problems as well as eye exams for eyeglasses & contact lenses. Dr. Badami specializes in comprehensive routine, medical, laser & surgical eye care as well as complex cataract surgery and the medical, laser and surgical management of glaucoma. She has a special interest in laser cataract surgery and the use of advanced intraocular lens implants, including toric lens implants to correct astigmatism and multifocal lenses to help cataract surgery patients reduce their dependence on eyeglasses. As a glaucoma specialist, she utilizes the latest technologies currently available in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) as well as traditional glaucoma surgery to reduce eye pressure and preserve vision.
