Tamara Lee Lenis, MD, PhD is an ophthalmologist, retina specialist & vitreoretinal surgeon at NJRetina. Dr. Lenis received her medical degree from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute, in the EyeSTAR program where she also received a Ph.D. before completing a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Dr. Lenis has received numerous honors and awards, including the Heed Foundation Fellowship, the Excellence in Research Award from Stein Eye Institute, the Young Scientist Research Grant from The Juliette Retinitis Pigmentosa Vision Foundation, and the Dr. Henry and Lilian Nesburn Award for Best Research.
